8th International Plein Air Festival 2025 in France
It was an honour to be invited as an ‘International Ambassador’ of the ‘8th International Plein Air Festival’ in the beautiful town of Les Andeleys in Normandie region of France.
There were 22 nominees from across 18 countries and many other participating artists.
I took it as a challenge to participate in this festival which has a unique concept of painting on large format canvases only-provided by the organisers to be painted En Plein air and entirely all prima in 1 sitting.
Really pleased to have sold
all my works to the lovely collector and owner of the hotel to adorn the walls of their interiors.
So coming home without any stress of carrying those big canvases as I could then accommodate lots of bread from the French Boulangeries and pastries from Pâtisseries as that’s my new found love.
A week full of great weather painting the French landscapes, visting Apple orchards, Museums, art galleries and some very interesting places. But the highlight was to be on the very grounds of Claude Monet’s house and gardens where he painted the famous water lilies and many of his impressionist paintings. I learnt so much listening to what our guide had to say in her lovely French accent
Such great vibe and atmosphere and wonderfully organised festival that connected everyone beyond the borders and language barriers simply through art.
Thankyou Sennelier for wonderful art hamper which I can’t wait to use now!
