Art in the City, Gloucester ‘Main Prize Judge’
Delighted to back in Gloucester for the ‘Art in the City’, a plein air painting competition, where I have had the pleasure and honour of being the Main Prize judge along with fellow artists Michael Ashcroft, Abigail, Sarah and Jane.
This event is for a great cause and much needed initiative for uplifting the spirit of the communities in places like Gloucester and others in the country.
‘Art in the City’, working proudly with Gloucester BiD, is a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and colour — where artists from across the UK transform the streets of Gloucester into a living gallery.
Alongside the main Plein Air competition, they run a free family art event — giving away art packs so families can explore the city, create their own artworks, and discover Gloucester through fresh eyes.
Congratulations to all the winners who gave us the joy of seeing all the work in progress through the day and final pieces in the evening.
