Guest of Honour: ‘Dorking Group of Artists’

Just before the awards, a wonderful lady and the member of the group mentioned to me that in the past when they had Ken Howard as the Guest of Honour, he had made a very inspiring speech. I think my fists instantly went a bit moist with sweat on hearing that.

How was I even to dare say anything after that, to the hall packed with artists. But I somehow managed to say something about the importance of these groups and societies in the world of art!

Congratulations to all the winners who won the awards. What a wonderful show and so well curated by Jane Anderson and the team.

Thankyou Angela Hall and Jacky Cowdrey for having me and bestowing this special honour and to all the organisers for such a successful show.
