PRIVATE VIEW: NEAC, Mall galleries 2023
A wonderful opening of the ‘New English Art Club’ Annual Exhibition 2023.
Delighted to have my small painting in the show.
As many have said, there is something for everyone to find in this show. It’s definitely one of my favourites too.
I painted this little painting on our family holiday in response to how everyone was determined to watch the Fifa World Cup in one massive bed room, in a remote village in India, in a beautiful century old cottage, in midst of the coffee plantations, snuggled in our pyjamas!
The euphoria was unreal on both sides of the screen and there were many moments of joy and emotions -all those that I wished to capture in my little painting whilst still enjoying the game!
It’s indeed a very special one for me.
Always a great feeling to have your work amongst your peers and artists whose work you admire and appreciate. And there were dozens of them here.
President Peter Brown opened the exhibition with speech and awards in his white shorts. We had a brilliant conversation about the changes and the new stuff happening at the NEAC.
The exhibition is now open to public at the Mall Galleries from 23 June until 1 July 2023.
