Landscape Artist of the Year -Series 8

I am very excited to share that I will on Sky Arts programme ‘Landscape Artist of the year- Series 8’ @artistoftheyear as one of the contestants chosen from 2000 applicants across the country.

The episode airs this week on Wednesday 8 February at 8pm on Sky Arts channel. It’s available as freeview on channel 11 or you can view it on NOW streaming *LIVE*

The heat was filmed at ‘Royal Ascot Racecourse’ on one of the hottest day of the year last June.

As a matter of dress code, this was one of my first to be painting in an expensive suit more concern about spoiling it with my paint rather than my painting itself.

It was a wonderful day and you can tell I truly enjoyed myself.

I found the hosts Joan Bakewell and Stephen Mangan very friendly while the three judges Kate Bryan, Kathleen Soriano and Tai-Shan one of the nicest to interact with along with the entire team of Sky and Story Vault Films.

I shall write more after next week when the episode is aired!
